MacArthur inspects a French unit at the front. Part 3, Gen. and Mrs. Eisenhower deplane in Paris and are driven to SHAPE headquarters. N.Y. Gov. Dewey requests a joint Senate committee (Armed Forces-Foreign Relations) not to limit the number of U.S. troops serving with NATO. Sen. Wherry violently disagrees.
